  2. I loved this story about Hillary! I liked how you described how she felt in the bathroom, splashed water on her face and dried it off. While I was reading your story, I was expecting that Hillary had gotten the days confused when she packed her backpack for school that morning. Great work!

  3. My first thought when reading this was that it reminded me of the movie Sixteen Candles when they all forgot Samantha's birthday because of her sisters wedding. It's one of my favorite movies.

I can relate to Hillary because my birthday is within a few days of Valentine's day. I've always liked having the two close together. My son has a birthday near Christmas and HATES it.

I like that you skipped lines also. It makes it much easier to read. I ended up typing my blog post this time because it was hard to get a decent picture that you could read. I am going to try skipping lines from now on to see if that helps.

Did you share this writing with your students?

  4. I have not shared this with my students yet. It was inspired by a student in my class, she has been talking about her birthday, on Valentine's Day, for weeks!
