I like your use of onomatopoeia to describe the snowmobiles. Did you enjoy the fat bike? I bought a fat bike last summer and it has been great! You should include a description of Winthrop itself with all of its western store fronts and old-timer feel.
I love your description of the sound the snowmobile makes. It reminded me of my husband and son. They race motocross and they are both CONSTANTLY making that sound. What exactly is a fat bike? Does it just have bigger tires? Maybe you could include more description about the bikes. Sounds like a fun adventure.
I also loved your description as well, VERP! I haven't been on a snowmobile before but would love to try. I can definitely relate to not having the time or money to devote to another hobby. I would suggest that you add more detail about the bike. How did it feel when you were on the bike? Was it faster or slower than a regular bike? What did you think when you were done?
